Meet our Accounts and Administration Teams
Realty benefit from the support of a fantastic Administration & Accounts team with over 15 years’ experience with the company. This month’s blog focuses on the contribution of each of those individuals to the company and our customers, and allows you a little more insight into their role, and the lives of each of these dedicated individuals.
Janice Kitchen is the Company’s Head Administrator, having been with Realty for over 12 years. Janice is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all administration functions on a day to day basis, ensuring that the team meets the evolving needs of the business. No two days are ever the same in Property Management and as a result Janice is a supportive team player. Janice comments: “As I have worked within the company for a number of years, I have come to know the core of the business really well. It means I can empathise with the good and challenging bits of my colleagues’ roles, which makes it easier to identify pressures and deal with them effectively”. In the office, Janice is known for her fabulous flare for fashion with an enviable wardrobe of work attire, and outside of work, Janice is a keen reader, enjoys walking with her Chihuahua -Bailey, and is a seasoned traveller having visited some incredible destinations including Las Vegas, Dubai, Maldives, Jamaica, Australia and New Zealand, phew!
Trish Wren is our longest serving member of the team having been with Realty for over 13 years. Trish is a flexible member of the team with experience as both an Administrator and credit controller, with a keen eye for detail. Trish is employed full time as an exceptionally successful Credit Controller for Realty, overseeing the recovery of outstanding service charge accounts. Trish tells us “I enjoy this role very much as it gives me the opportunity to have a chat with our clients & resolve any queries they may have from time to time in connection with their accounts” Being a mum of 3, step-mum to 4, having 3 grand-kids, and a Pomeranian fur baby called Luna keeps Trish very busy outside of work, and you can regularly find her, alongside her extended family, out-doors in the local area on long country walks.
Jody McCartan is our welcoming point at Realty having worked on the head office company reception and switchboard since November 2016. Jody regularly liaises with Customers, Clients and Contractors to ensure enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently by reaching the right people. Jody also undertakes several administrative duties and oversees the control and management of development access. Jody comments that her favourite thing about Realty is the lovely office atmosphere. Jody is a keen football supporter and is an amateur singer with an incredible voice that has won several local competitions.
Jennifer Hyde is one of the most bubbliest members of staff within the Realty office, with an infectious sense of humour. Jen has worked in Property Management in both the residential and commercial sectors for over 15 years and now works within Realty’s main accounts department, raising service charge demands, allocating the payments received, reconciling the bank accounts, and processing the contractor payment runs, amongst other duties. Outside of work Jen is a keen wine connoisseur, and a fabulous Mum to her 11 year old daughter Isabelle.
Jan Clarke is Realty’s Head Accounts Manager responsible for the smooth running of the service charge accounts, ensuring that all developments are updated on a regular basis and year ends are processed promptly. With over 30 years’ experience in accounting, Jan is the lifeblood of the accounts team and has implemented several major projects over the years, including transferring Realty from a ledger based system to a computerised system, a number of years ago. Outside of work, Jan is a well-travelled individual and has visited a number of incredible destinations including: Singapore, Canada, The Maldives, Qatar, Hong Kong, Switzerland and many more! Jan enjoys, reading, rugby and motorsport, and is the proud owner of a motorcycle which accompanies her on a number of her adventures, mainly around Europe where she covers over 3500 miles on each trip!
The newest member to the Administration Team, Jane Collins, joined earlier this year as a Property Assistant. Jane assists the teams in a variety of administrational duties, alongside providing telephone support to our Customers and Property Managers. Jane has exceptional strengths in Customer Service, organisation and leadership having worked previously as a Restaurant Manager of a leading brand. Jane is a cultured and experienced traveller, having lived previously in Zakynthos, Greece; 7 months in India; 2 years in Sydney, Australia; and a further year on the South Island of New Zealand. Since returning to Stockport, Jane has just bought and renovated her first home and is settling into her new role and home beautifully.
